How we protect your child’s privacy
We’re in early access. A formal privacy policy reviewed by counsel ships before public launch — this page describes, plainly, what we do today.
What we collect for anonymous play
A random account number, the hero your child picks, their grade, and their game progress. What we never collect from kids: no name, no email, no date of birth, no photos, no location — and nothing more before a parent says yes. Like every website, our servers briefly see a device’s network address to run and protect the service; we never use it to track or locate your child.
At in-person demo events
At demo booths, the game asks for a first name and age to greet your child in the game and on the session report you can view afterward. The first name is deleted automatically when the report link expires, 30 days later. Demo sessions have no account and are stored separately from the game’s player data.
If we email you a demo invite
When someone invites you to try a demo by email, we keep that email address only while the invitation is active — it’s deleted the moment the invitation is revoked or expires. We use it to send the invitation itself and, if you’re open to it, to invite you to future EduGameVerse alphas. Every invite email tells you how to decline; reply or use the link inside and we’ll remove your invitation entirely. Invitations are sent from invites@bluepotionlabs.com; replies reach support@bluepotionlabs.com.
If you ask for a demo on our website
A parent who requests a demo on bluepotionlabs.com gives us their name, email, their child’s grade, and an optional note. We use them only to set up and send that family’s demo invitation and to reach the parent about it. The request is kept while the demo program runs or until the parent asks us to remove it; closed requests are deleted after 12 months. Write to privacy@bluepotionlabs.com to be removed.
Learning data
As your child plays, we record game progress and skill practice. It exists to run the game and — soon — to show you how the adventure is going. It is never sold and never used for advertising.
How long we keep it
Anonymous accounts that sit unused are removed after 180 days of inactivity — the automatic sweep switches on before public launch. Accounts a parent has claimed stay until you ask otherwise.
Who else touches it
Amazon Web Services runs the service, in a US-only region, and holds everything we store. Our email runs on Google Workspace, and the demo request form on our studio site uses Cloudflare’s bot check. The full list of what runs where is public — see who runs our service. We use no third-party analytics. We count page views on these pages ourselves, in aggregate — page, day, campaign link, a broad region from the browser’s time zone, and whether it was a phone, tablet or computer — as plain counts with nothing that identifies anyone, and nothing set in your browser. Browsers that send the Global Privacy Control signal are not counted.
Disclosures
We don’t share your child’s data with third parties. If that ever changes, it will happen by a separate, explicit opt-in from you — never silently.
Your choices
Playing needs no account at all — that’s by design. Accounts, and parent controls to see or remove your child’s data, arrive with the parent dashboard.
